Vanness Wu & 2PM Junho to collaborate for song "Unbeatable"

With his previous two idol drama "Autumn's Concerto" and "Material Queen" being a huge success, Vanness Wu will be taking on the leading role in the upcoming SETTV drama "Tiamo Chocolate". The production team has termed this romantic idol drama as the modern day version of Butterfly Lovers. Similar to other idol dramas, there will be many handsome males and beautiful ladies acting. The special element of this drama though is that they extended the hot and handsome feel to its OST too, inviting Korea famous idol group 2PM's Lee Junho to help sing the theme song named "Unbeatable". This will allow the audience to not only see the handsome Vanness Wu but also hear the dreamed collaboration between two handsome Taiwan and Korean singer. The eye-catching collaboration list had the music company exclaiming that "Its a perfect pair."

Since working with Kang-Ta, Vanness had been receiving many offers from overseas for collaboration and to make his own drama "Tiamo Chocolate" good in both the acting and music aspect, he thus selected 2PM's Junho out of his many invites to work with him on this theme song "Unbeatable". Vanness has been very happy about being able to collaborate with 2PM's Junho and he revealed that "I feel like I have lots of fate with Korea. In terms of acting, its been females, but for music, its first Kangta and now Junho. His chinese enunciation is really accurate. Really thankful to Junho for being willing to cooperate and sing the song in mandarin." Their duet has won the praises of the producer as well "Was surprise because we didn't give him much time to practice Chinese and thus you can really see how serious Junho is!!! Vanness's voice is very gentle and warm. Their collaboration is perfect."

This cross-country collaboration is definitely something the audience will hope for and "Unbeatable" will be broadcasted on HIT FM on March 30th. To have further collaboration, the two of them also cleared their schedules to film an MV, with Junho planning to fly to Taiwan from April 2nd to April 4th.

Vanness has been paying much attention to 2PM and has always hoped for to have a chance to work with them. Under the music company's arrangement, he managed to have his desired collaboration with Junho in the music field. Although Junho does not know Chinese, after much practice, and with the help of the translator to assist with communication, the song was completed within a short period of time. This is his first Chinese song. The producer revealed that after the collaboration was arranged, Junho requested through his company for us to"Don't amend the Chinese lyrics, changing the meaning, to make the song easier to sing. He will use his own efforts to fit the Chinese lyrics and present the best performance." Junho had never worked on a Chinese production before and besides anticipating the collaboration with Vanness Wu, he also used much of his spare time to practice Chinese enunciation. On the day of the recording, although Junho relied heavily on the translator to communicate with the producer regarding the emotions required for the song and the tune desired, his hard work and passion made the Chinese words he sang surprisingly accurate. It also made those who heard the song exclaim "To have such accurate pronunciation is unbelievable." Vanness who is in the midst of filming "Tiamo Chocolate" also expressed his anticipation of working with Junho for the MV in April. He has specially taken leave from the production crew to work with Junho to do promotion and film an MV for this song.

"Unbeatable" is a song that conveys how we must face the obstacles in life, be it in love or other aspects, positively and with faith in the fact that we'll be "Unbeatable". We should learn to accept the hardships fate throws at us and work harder. This song, brought to us by two handsome males from Taiwan and Korea, will be very encouraging.

Kwai Lun-Mei makes Joseph Chang cry

Kwai Lun-Mei and Joseph Chang worked together on the film GIRLFRIEND BOYFRIEND. Director Yang Ya-Che in order to apply for the Taipei Film Awards hurried the production up and thought the leads were able to win this year's Taipei Film Award Best Actor and Best Actress. The film's backdrop was Taiwan's changes over 30 years and invited a Taiwanese instructor to teach the cast old style Taiwanese. Kwai Lun-Mei had the most experience with language study. She even stumped the teacher when she asked how to say "flat chested" in Taiwanese? The teacher a week later finally replied, "cold bottom". Then Kwai Lun-Mei joked that she was "cold bottom".

During the shoot, the director enabled the actors to perform freely. They "plotted" with each other and thus before the shoot were very nervous, as they were afraid that the co-stars would do something strange. Joseph Chang and Kwai Lun-Mei had a break up scene that unexpectedly touched emotional wounds. He cried for 10 minutes and still could not settle down; in another scene Kwai Lun-Mei slapped Joseph Chang 30 times before its completion, his face was swollen and his stomach ached; Kwai Lun-Mei had her fill of the acting bug, she even hid and cried.

As long as Yao Yuan Hao proposes sincerely, Sonia Sui is willing

Sonia's leather shoe endorsement filmed a true story with a real couple for their marriage proposal advertisement. When Sonia saw the male lead walked 300km to propose, she was very touched as no man had ever done something like that for her. What if Yao Yuan Hao proposes? "I don't need any elaborate measures or surprises, just sincerity!" So a bouquet of flowers presented sincerely will be sufficient? She shyly nodded and said "Yes!"

However, her boyfriend has yet to propose and she wants to discuss her marriage plans after clearing her house loan debt.

Yao Yuan Hao will be going Hangzhou for filming at the end of the month while Sonia will be going Shanghai in May to film "The Woman On The Bread Tree". The two of them will be separated for at least half a year which has never happened before since they got together. The recent news of several breakups and affairs were thought provoking to Sonia and she felt that there's little things that can be trusted. She has consoled Xiao Zhen personally, trying to crack jokes and make her happy. When she met Bianca Bai who recently broke up with Mao Jia En, she won't try to show her concern by bringing up the matter as it might just make her more upset.

It has been rumored recently that Sonia has been uncooperative with "The Fierce Wife Finale: Blissful Man, Not difficult" movie and she declared that she has not heard of the rumor and there is no such matters.

Ella goes Guam for Wedding Photoshoot; Hebe tags along as lightbulb

Ella and her fiance Alvin Lai has gone to Guam for their wedding photo-shoot. It can be considered their early honeymoon but surprisingly, Hebe had tagged along as a lightbulb. Hebe sweetly said that "The couple's glow will outshine that of the lightbulb. No one can steal their limelight!" Selina's still in the middle of physiotherapy and couldn't travel out of the country. She went with her mom to Danshui to observe the flower blossom instead and shared that "There were more people than flowers!"

Ella has been busy promoting her first EP "I'm... Ella Chen Jia Hua" and had to take time out of her busy schedule to fly to Guam for this photoshoot. The hotel provided the couple with the presidential suite which costs NT150,000 per night. The work team consisted of over 30 people and spent around NT3.5million.

When Ella and Hebe board the Hello Kitty decorated airplane to Guam, both of them were overjoyed like little girls. Ella was given a pink apron and she even matched it with a pink hair bow, finding it to be very cute. As Ella will be busy with work, the actual honeymoon would probably have to be delayed to next year where they plan to go Europe.

Giddens Ko wants to see A Simple Life

Giddens Ko yesterday with Lawrence Ko Yu Lun and Lin Hui-Min came to Hong Kong for the Entertainment Expo. He said that he, Ko Chen-Tung and Michelle Chen will attend the Asian Film Award Monday night. He had confidence in both of them and hoped that they would win. He felt very honored and gratified that so many Taiwan films were nominated.

Earlier Andy Lau Tak Wa mentioned that originally he had an idea of making YU LAU TAK WA JAU GOR DIK YUT JI (DAYS WITH ANDY LAU), which was similar to his YOU ARE THE APPLE OF MY EYE and Giddens Ko beat him to it. To avoid being accused of plagiarism he joked that he was "Yut Ba Doh". Giddens Ko said that Wa Jai was humorous and he was happy to hear his name from his idol's mouth. Recently A SIMPLE LIFE (TOH JEH) was going strong at the box office. Some said that it could threaten YOU ARE THE APPLE OF MY EYE's Hong Kong box office champion spot. He said not to talk about the challenge as he was very afraid of answering these questions. He too wanted to see A SIMPLE LIFE.

Fierce Wife actress Xiao Chen's husband gets caught cheating again

Fierce Wife actress Hu Ying-Chen (Xiao Chen) and plastic surgeon Li Jin-Liang (A-Liang) have been dominating the front pages of the entertainment news section. They’ve been together for 8 years and after catching A-Liang cheating for the 13th time, their marriage has finally lit a red light. Just days ago, Appledaily spotted A-Liang going out and having some intimate interactions with a girl named Alison.

Xiao Chen said yesterday while almost in tears, “In the past 8 years, there have been too many chances to mend our relationship, (but) if I can’t keep him, I won’t force it. If I don’t have the ability to keep this man, I...will choose to let him go at the right time.” When asked if it meant divorce, she hesitated, “(I’m) still thinking about it carefully.” The media probed further and she responded, “Of course it has both positive and negative meanings to it.” She indicated that she still had not sat down and talked with A-Liang, but they won’t separate yet, “After acting in ‘Fierce Wife’, it has changed the way I see things. I feel that everyone needs to mature. No matter what happens in the future, I will always consider my daughter first.”

When the media asked if she would forgive A-Liang if he promised that he wouldn’t cheat again or step foot into a hotel, she said coldly, “He can’t even promise the media that. What happened this time was an outbreak. After that, it’s very hard to go back.” As for the clinic which they own in partnership, she said that she would leave it up to her dad to decide what to do in case they really break up.

A-Liang expressed to the media that hugging a girl in public was a normal behaviour of all Taiwanese men, which led to harsh criticisms from the public. Even Xiao Chen commented, “No woman would accept that!” She was also aware of the rumors regarding A-Liang and a girl named Tian Xin going out, “I have friends who live in the area. I feel that God has been giving me directions. I can’t continue to shield my ears anymore.”

Appledaily spotted A-Liang with two girls just days ago.

Next Magazine photographed A-Liang going on a date with Tian Xin.

A-Liang responded to a TVBS interview early in the morning, “Xiao Chen is still in anger, so she will be a little extreme in the way she thinks right now. After things cool down a little, (we’ll) sit down and have a good chat, but not in front of the media.” Xiao Chen’s dad and veteran host Hu Gua who has always supported his son in-law was unreachable and has not responded to the news.

2006/7: A-Liang was spotted going out to the movies and staying overnight with an AV star
Xiao Chen’s response: “I’m in a very good mood. I trust my boyfriend.”

2008/8: He was seen driving and going to a hotel with a long curly-haired girl, whom he also kissed on the street.
Xiao Chen’s response: “A-Liang said his friend was opening a store so he went to show his support.”

2009/6: Just before the wedding reception, news broke out that he was cheating with Yang Qiao-Ning (Mao Mao).
Xiao Chen’s response: “I choose to forgive.”

2010/6: Next Magazine reported that A-Liang and Tian Xin went out 4 times in a week and even went to Korea together.
Xiao Chen’s response: “My husband has been mistaken.”

2010/12: Rumors surfaced that he was cheating with a nurse at his clinic. Thus, his wife Xiao Chen wanted a divorce.
Xiao Chen’s response: “News like these always come out once in a while, I’ve long gotten used to it.”

2012/3: A-Liang brought another girl to a hotel and was seen holding hands and hugging intimately with Xiao Chen’s friend Alison.
Xiao Chen’s response: “If I can’t keep him, I will choose to let him go at the right time.”

J-Girl Hannah Quinlivan to debut on the small screen

J-Girl Hannah Quinlivan has not only accepted a hosting gig at MTV for the Western pop chart, she has also signed a management contract with SETTV a few days ago. As you can guess, she will start filming dramas for the network.

SETTV’s VP Chang Cheng-Fen expressed, “Hannah’s company and SETTV are collaborating. She’s very suitable for filming dramas, so we have arranged for her to appear in ‘Set Chocolate’. After that, we will arrange for further drama appearances in the future.”

Hannah will get to work with Van Ness Wu and Joanne Tzeng for her small screen debut. She will be playing Joanne’s classmate and good friend. Although she will only receive a mere 8 thousand TWD per episode, it will be a good opportunity for her to develop her acting skills.

In contrast, Jolin’s boyfriend Vivian Dawson hasn’t been so lucky. He once went to audition for a role in “(Drunken to) Love You”, but he didn't get chosen in the end due to his poor Mandarin. The role later went to Tom Price, who was from Hong Kong.

Anthony Neely Uses Ice Cream To Comfort Himself After Breakups

US-Chinese mixed singer Anthony Neely recently released his new album "Wake Up", a lively, cheerful album with a strong personality. However, not everything in Anthony's life has always been so cheerful.

While in college, the singer had 2 girlfriends, both of whom were considered the biggest beauties at the school. Neither relationship worked out though. While experiencing a break up may be hard, Anthony found a way to deal with his grief.

"I'd watch movies, eat ice cream...watching British romance movies made me believe in love once again," he stated.

The singer also talked about how the movie "V For Vendetta" helped him get over his breakups. In the movie, the male lead helps the people of England by overthrowing a corrupt and oppressive totalitarian government. Watching this movie made him realize there are many more important things than just love, such as good health and having a positive attitude towards life.

A-Mei wants to add 8th show for her AmeiZING concert tour?

A-Mei Chang will be holding her 7 “AmeiZING” concert shows at the Taipei Arena starting on the 31st. Considering that the concert tour started elsewhere back in September, one-third of the songs will be new this time and the stage and her wardrobes will also be even more extravagant than before. The concert celebrates her 15th anniversary in showbiz, so she said she might even ask her family members to perform on stage. Additionally, her main principle in preparing for this concert is “not to try to save money.” Thus, it is estimated that the production cost will be over 100 million TWD. (photo: A-Mei especially filmed a clip of her as Amit for the concert)

When A-Mei attended Sodagreen’s concert at the beginning of the month, she complained to her manager, “How come they can sing overtime?” Since many of her fans and friends expressed that they couldn’t get tickets to her concert, she was thinking of holding an 8th concert, but her manager stopped her, “She always sings in full force, (so) I’m afraid that she’ll hurt her throat. There’s always another time to break the record.” -- holding the most number of shows at Taipei Arena for the same tour. Nonetheless, they have added about 20 additional box seats per show for her sponsors, friends, and fellow artistes.

After A-Mei takes her five-day break, she will immediately start preparing for the concert as well as filming commercials. She recently filmed a snack commercial where she sings and dances in it like she does in her coca-cola or sprite commercials. Although it’s everybody’s favorite “A-Mei image”, she said humorously, “When I film another commercial in the future, I can show some martial arts moves too.”

Show Luo gets ready to release new Mandarin album

Having just released his Japanese debut single, “Dante”, Show Luo is already preparing to push out his new Mandarin album next month titled, “有我在” (roughly translates to With Me Here). After becoming the champion in album sales for two years in a row, he is determined to reign again this year, “I’m confident that I will be the champion three years straight! Here I come!”

For the album photoshoot, one of his wardrobes was designed with a “collapsing fantasy” theme which he donned a pair of steel wings weighing 10kg to show the feeling of wanting to fly while being unable to. After 40 minutes of shooting, his shoulders were covered with bruises from where the straps were for carrying the wings. He also accidentally scraped his stylist’s face when he was turning around with the wings on his back. As a result, he knelt down to ask for forgiveness while he was still wearing the wings.

Show plans to organize 15 signing events from the end of this month to the beginning of May. Not afraid of previous criticisms, he will continue the tradition of giving his fans a “photo op for 3 albums or a hug for 5” to help boost sales.

Since today is White Day, it reminds him of the time when he noticed his girlfriend hadn’t been wearing the necklace that he gave her, so he knew she must have lost it. Thus, he bought the same necklace for her on Valentine’s Day, but she actually thought that he was the one who hid the original one. His management company is unwilling to disclose who she was.

Van Ness receives chocolates from Japanese fans

Van Ness Wu was promoting his Japanese single, “Endless Dance”, a few days ago in Osaka and Tokyo. He held a handshake event at a mall in Tokyo and attracted a thousand fans. He of them were women except for one. Knowing that he will be SETTV’s upcoming daily prime time drama, “Set Chocolate”, many fans bought him chocolates and even called him “Mr. Chocolate”, making him extremely happy.

Although he loves chocolates, he only dared to take a tiny bite since he was afraid of gaining weight. He shared the rest with the staff.

The new drama is set to start airing on April 3rd. It has been raining a lot in Taipei and Van Ness worries that he won’t be able to film outside, causing delays and filming to be rushed later.

Landy has Andrew Tan under her spell

Landy Wen Lan and Malaysian singer Andrew Tan (Chen Sai On) starred film 3X TROUBLE (HUNG X DAP CHOR) earlier held a Taipei press conference. After her hit film WARRIORS OF THE RAINBOW: SEEDIQ BALE, Wen Lan was invited to her first lead actress role in Malaysia. This time Wen Lan made many breakthroughs with her new film, like playing a corpse and playing twins for the first time. She even had a lot of intimate physical contact with killer Chen Sai On.

Wen Lan and Chen Sai On gave their first time to their new film. The first scene after Wen Lan and Chen Sai On who was making his first film met was a brutal murder scene. Chen Sai On said that it was truly hard to be violent against the petite and sexy Wen Lan. For realism he had to really strangle her neck and pick her up in the air. This scene took several hours and left a lot of bruises on Wen Lan's neck.

In order to create the film's corpse prop, Wen Lan had to be covered with professional prop material and maintained her gesture before the death with any variation. It had to be done over two or three times and took eight hours. Chen Sai On praised Wen Lan as not only a substance singer but also a very professional actress.

Speaking of the different experience between 3XTROUBLE and the earlier SEEDIQ BALE, Wen Lan said that Malaysia's unique local culture was very memorable. She said basically the set was like United Nations, often many different languages like Malay, Cantonese, English and Mandarin were mixed up. Has her boyfriend seen the film? Wen Lan said, "He probably would want to kill Chen Sai On!" Would Chen Sai On like girls like Wen Lan? He said that he could not resist "diva type" girls, unfortunately Wen Lan was already taken.

1500 Japanese fans attend Aaron Yan's fan meeting

Aaron Yan was in Tokyo a few days ago to hold two fan meetings. Although the fan meetings were supposed to have only 1400 people, the organizers managed to squeeze in 1500 fans, who shelled out 7,400 yen for the tickets. During the first fan meeting, Aaron was so nervous that his voice cracked when he sang and played the piano for the “Lion King” theme song, “Can You Feel The Love Tonight”. He quickly apologized and the fans cheered him on.

Since Aaron had been busy filming the upcoming idol drama, “Give Alice A Miracle”, he didn’t have much time to practice the song. In fact, he didn’t get off work until 1am just the day before leaving for Tokyo. Nonetheless, he made use of his breaks during filming and especially took a day off to practice on the piano.

Aaron's popularity could be seen as his fans’ ages ranged from 5 to 70 years old. He hoped that he would be able to perform at five different cities in Japan next year. Since he bruised his arms and the right side of his face due to filming, over half of the six large boxes of gifts he received were ointments, bandages, hand warmers, and food.

Crowd Lu becomes a crossing guard for a day

Crowd Lu previously promised the fans that if his book, “I am Crowd Lu! Yeah”, sold more than twenty-thousand copies, he would do something to express his passion. His book really sold over twenty-thousand copies, so yesterday at 7am, he took his fans’ recommendation and became a school crossing guard. He expressed, “I really feel like I’m all grown up. Therefore, I need to assist those who are in the process of growing up.”

Harlem and Rainie to host Golden Melody?

The 23rd Annual Golden Melody Awards ceremony will take place on June 23rd at the Taipei Arena, and TTV will once again be broadcasting the event. There have been rumors going around recently that veteran host Harlem Yu and pop singer Rainie Yang will be hosting the show. However, TTV is keeping a low profile and only said yesterday, “We have indeed mentioned this combo to the Government Information Office, but we are unable to confirm this news yet. There are still many procedures that need to take place.”

Harlem, who has hosted the award show a couple of times as well as being a former Golden Melody Best Male Singer winner, responded, “I haven’t received the offer yet,” but hearing that his partner may be Rainie, he smiled and then added, “I don’t think Rainie knows about this either.” His manager further expressed, “We will at least have to wait to get an offer before responding.”

Although Rainie has hosted “Guess Guess Guess” with veteran Jacky Wu before, she has never hosted any of the three major award shows (Golden Melody, Golden Bell, and Golden Horse). Rainie’s manager also indicated that they have not received any offer yet.

Jiro poses half-naked for Absolute Boyfriend drama posters

Since lead actress Goo Hye-Sun is back in Korea, only Jiro Wang is left to do the first round of promotions for their upcoming idol drama, “Absolute Boyfriend”. As many of you already know, Jiro will be playing the naked robot who gets delivered to Goo Hye-Sun’s home. The TV network anticipates that the intro scene will cause fans to scream in excitement. At the moment, they are still deciding whether to use pixelization or some sort of animation to cover up Jiro’s main body parts.

Jiro revealed that the drama was filmed during the summer, which made him a “sweaty robot”. Since robots were not supposed to sweat, the staff had to continuously wipe his body. Goo Hye-Sun also had to wear many long sleeves clothes. Jiro praised, “She also had to wear some sweaters. (I) was very worried that she would get a heat stroke,” but Goo Hye-Sun expressed that she doesn’t sweat a lot and can endure hot weather.

Jiro was posing for the drama poster a few days ago. Jiro, who was 180cm tall, had to pose inside a 100cm box. He said, “It was very difficult. I had to bend my arms and legs like I was practicing yoga. It was like a challenge to see how flexible I could be. Being a sexy male star isn’t easy.”

The drama is set to premiere on April 1st, following "Skip Beat!"

Lee Hom Wang Braves Through Rain for Concert in Malaysia

Lee Hom Wang proves that the show must go on - come rain or shine - when he performed in the rain for his loving fans.

The multi-talented crooner braved through the rainy conditions with his fans (some 23,000 of them!) in an outdoor stadium on the Malaysian leg of his 2012 Open Fire MUSIC MAN II tour.

His mood and his performance were certainly not dampened by the downpour. He even jokingly expressed that, "I actually came to take a shower today,". Lee Hom showcased his musical flair, playing various instruments including the violin, the electric guitar, and the piano.

Towards the end of the concert, he even updated his Weibo with a (translated) message saying, "Yep! Today's weibo update is 'Saya cinta padamu (I love you)' in Malay!". The update was sweetened with a video-log of Lee Hom saying the very words in front of his adoring audience as well.
