Wilber Pan WeiBo and His Fans Brave the Rain for "Billy's" First Autograph Concert

Today 潘瑋柏 Wilber Pan WeiBo and a throng of enthusiastic fans-- yours truly included-- gathered in Taipei in the pouring rain for the singer's first autograph session for his upcoming album, 24個比利/The Story of Billy (24 Billys). Wilber’s team passed out a number of red “Will Pan” towels to his fans to use and keep, though many seemed reluctant to remove them from their packaging.

Wilber signed autographs in the rain for approximately 2 hours. When my turn finally came, all my rehearsed lines flew out of my head—and it was sadly over before I could even blink. I’d only purchased 3 CDs this time, so there were only 3 posters for him to sign—I suppose I’d gotten used to 5–7 CDs with LeeHom and Chang YunJing in the past and miscalculated. As a result, I couldn’t squeeze in my AF promotion and regret it sorely. But Wilber’s smile was as sunny and infectious in person (and despite the rain) as it is on TV and magazine covers, and he was extremely friendly and playful. Throughout the autograph session, he made funny faces at a little girl in the audience. Because of the rain, he had jammed a “New York” baseball cap over his hair, making him look very much younger than his 30+ years.

Taiwanese actor, singer, and all-around entertainer Joseph Cheng takes his break from the entertainment business as he enlists in the army to fulfill his twelve months of mandatory military service.

According to xin msn, the 30-year old star of the drama It Started With A Kiss bids his fans a temporary farewell via video message and a handwritten letter.

He posted his letter on his official website, in which he revealed his reasons for leaving quietly,

"When you receive this letter, I would have already entered the army. Please forgive me for leaving without saying goodbye (as) I only hope to enlist and be discharged in an ordinary and low-key manner. (This is) a process that all males have to go through to become a man (and) I would like to be part of this as well."
